Norfield Logistics Ltd is looking for someone to join the team as Logistics Coordinator. This is a full-time, permanent role based in Leicester and offers the opportunity to take ownership of the day-to-day responsibilities associated with the position.
The role will involve supporting the smooth movement of goods, information or schedules. You will help coordinate priorities, keep records accurate and work with colleagues to keep operations running efficiently.
They are looking for someone dependable, organised and willing to take responsibility for their work. Strong communication, a positive attitude and either relevant experience or good transferable skills will be valued.
What you will do
- Coordinate deliveries, stock movements and transport schedules to keep goods moving efficiently.
- Coordinate schedules, orders or operational information to help work move smoothly.
- Prioritise tasks, keep relevant information up to date and follow through on agreed actions.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, clients or other stakeholders as required.
- Follow company procedures, quality standards and any relevant health, safety or confidentiality requirements.
What we are looking for
- Relevant experience or strong transferable skills suitable for a Logistics Coordinator position.
- Good organisation and the ability to manage changing priorities in a time-sensitive environment.
- Able to manage your own workload, meet deadlines and ask for support when needed.
- Professional and reliable, with a positive approach to working with other people.
- Willing to learn the company systems, processes and standards required for the role.
It would be helpful if you also have
- Previous experience in logistics or a similar working environment.
- Experience using relevant workplace systems, software or tools.
- A proactive approach to improving processes, service or day-to-day ways of working.
